How to install Enhanced API Admin

Just like most Elgg plugins, all you have to do really is unzip the release archive into the mod folder of your Elgg installation. To be a little bit more precise, here is a step-by-step guide to get up and running with the Enhanced API Admin plugin

  1. Grab the latest copy of the plugin from the Downloads page
  2. Unzip the file inside the mod folder of your Elgg installation, making sure that the plugin ends up in the mod/apiadmin folder
  3. Log into Elgg as an administrator, go to the Administration area and click on the Plugins menu item
  4. Activate the API Admin plugin (the official name of the plugin is only "API Admin" in Elgg, without the "Enhanced" bit)
  5. Open the API Key Admin utility and create new keys or manage existing ones

You can now provide the public key to any remote clients of your Web Services API for key-based or HMAC-signature-based authentication.
